James Dondero – Making Dallas a Better Place to Live and Work

Committed to making his hometown a better place to live and work, Dallas-based philanthropist James Dondero has been partnering with local charitable organizations to provide over $3 million annually in donations to local charities. Working together with these local organizations, such as The Dallas Foundation, Dondero’s giving is focused on providing support for education, veterans and health care concerns.

Past donations have gone to support rebuilding the hippopotamus exhibit at the Dallas Zoo, as well as financially supporting the Perot Museum of Natural Science and the George W. In additional to his philanthropic work, James Dondero is co-founder and president of Highland Capital Management, L.P., which was named One of the Best Places to Work in 2015 by the Dallas Journal. He is also a Board member for the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business.

Prior to founding Highland in 1993, James Dondero began his investment management career at American Express in the mid-to-late 1980s, and as chief investment officer of Protective Life’s GIC subsidiary, he led the growth of the fund’s assets over $2 billion. Cassio Audi’s career as a drummer

The name Cassio Audi evokes a lot of memories in Brazil. Despite being one of the most successful business and financial minds he is more popular for his early music career. Audi was a drummer for some of the most successful heavy metal music bands in brazil.

Cassio was a very talented drummer who horned his skills during his teenage years and by the time the 80’s came he was already starting a professional drumming career. Together with a group of four others Andre Machos, Filipe Machida, Yves and Pitt Passarell he formed the group The Viper Rock Band.The band began by diving it members among the various roles that were in the group. They first released a demo music album which was called The Killer Sword this put Audi on the map as a drummer his influence on the album was very prominent as he brought a richer heavier sound as compared to what was around. The success of their demo album together with inspiration from the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden the band released it first commercial record album know as the Soldiers of Sunrise.This album could go on to become a commercial success and be recognized as one of the best heavy metal rock albums to come from Brazil the heavy influence of the group’s drummer was also highly evident here. The all-star music group would go on to give the album a four-star rating. After a tour and concerts popularising the album the group went back to record music and by the year 1989, they released there second commercial album Theatre of Fate this album was meant for a larger audience and it resonated well with those outside Brazil making it as successful as there first album. After acquiring this level of success it is then that Audi left drumming and joined the university to study business.
