Committed to making his hometown a better place to live and work, Dallas-based philanthropist James Dondero has been partnering with local charitable organizations to provide over $3 million annually in donations to local charities. Working together with these local organizations, such as The Dallas Foundation, Dondero’s giving is focused on providing support for education, veterans and health care concerns.

Past donations have gone to support rebuilding the hippopotamus exhibit at the Dallas Zoo, as well as financially supporting the Perot Museum of Natural Science and the George W. SENS Foundation Receives $500,000 From Jason Hope

Recently, SENS Foundation announced that they had received a donation of $500,000 from Jason Hope. The investment will help the foundation to enhance its efforts on aging and anti-aging research. According to SENS, the money will be used to set up and equip the Cambridge SENS laboratory. Portion of the money would be used in conducting research aimed at understanding the end products of glycation in human tissues.

Jason said that the function played by the institution motivated him to support its operations. The company continues to employ a new and radical approach to anti-aging research. SENS focuses its research on finding cure for diseases associated with aging such as lung disease, heart diseases and Alzheimer’s. This approach differs from the traditional approach in that it focuses on preventing the disease. He says that the foundation’s focus on preventing the disease was quite encouraging. Jason believes that their research holds a brighter future for humanity.

SENS Research Foundation is planning to host its annual Rejuvenation Biotechnology Conference this August. The event, which will take place at the prestigious Santa Clara Hyatt Regency Hotel between August 21 and 23, will focus on “Emerging Regenerative Medicine Solutions for the Diseases of Aging.” SENS has announced the extension of the early bird registration to the event. The new deadline will be on July 14. The extension is in line with SENS’ goal of ensuring many professionals and organizations in the industry grace the event.

According to Aubrey de Grey, the goal of the conference is to create a rejuvenation biotechnology industry that focuses on hastening drug development through collaboration with varies experts in the industry.
